"Korro?" General Iris called out, almost hesitantly as her warm, amber gaze met steadily with the Avatar’s. Although, the young general’s cheeks were lightly tinged with pink compared to the boy in front of her.
"Yes?" Korro gave her an inquisitive look, his ocean eyes scanning over her flushed features—which, of course, only added fuel to the flames.
"I-I was wondering if you knew where Asako is," stammered the general, struggling to keep her cool as she spoke. She paused, gathering her confidence before continuing. "I… I plan on asking him for some tea with me." She watched as a wide, knowing grin spreaded over Korro’s face and saw the strange glint in his eyes as the gears in his head began to turn.

"It would be my pleasure to take you to him, general," replied Korro, already walking off at a brisk pace to where Asako was residing in the Air Temple. General Iris hurridly followed behind, her strides short and confident like always. Korro abruptly stopped as they came upon a closed door. He opened it, practically pushing the female general inside. Her protests fell on deaf ears as Korro swiftly shut the door with a brief wink and a good luck! over his shoulder.
"What now…?" she murmured, turning around to face the rest of the room. Surprisingly for a male, Asako’s room was neat and tidy, though books loitered the floor and blueprints dominated the desk in the corner. She bent down to pick up a book—Dance Amongst Dragons—and began to read the first page. She was halfway through the chapter before a voice interrupted her.
"It’s good, isn’t it?" Startled, she whipped around, her eyes widening as a half-naked Asako greeted her with a grin on his face as he dried his hair with his towel. Water dripped off his skin, falling carelessly upon the floor as an uncomfortable flush overcame the young general. To her dismay, the young heir came closer to her, still in his freshly showered glory. He smelled of sunshine—of soap and musk and shampoo.
"It’s a romance novel, between two young people who are caught on the opposite sides of war," he informed her in a husky voice before catching the book as if fell out of her slackened hand. The general couldn’t seem to concentrate around him. "You could borrow it, if you’d like, General Iris," he said in that same low, husky voice as he placed the book into her hands.
"T-thank you, Asako," she stuttered.
"Something the matter, general?" A smug smile was playing on his lips as dark emerald eyes met her widened gaze.
"J-just put on a shirt, for spirit’s sake!" She didn’t mean for it to come out so wild as a chuckle escaped through the boy’s lips.
"As you wish." He gave her a quick wink before retrieving a white collared shirt from his closet. "So was there anything that you wanted from me?" he called over his shoulder, buttoning the buttons one by one as she stood with the book in her hands.
"Oh! Erm. I was wonder i-if you would perhaps like to go out for some tea with me," she asked. Suddenly, the floor was ten times more interesting than it was five minutes ago. She clutched onto the wretched book tightly, unable to help the blush that had rose up on her cheeks. Suddenly, the general’s chin was being lifted by a finger, her opaque eyes meeting with smoldering emerald ones.
"It would be my honor," replied Asako with a wide grin.
"O-okay then." Her cheeks were tinted with crimson, and was it just her imagination, or did he seem to be leaning in closer? Subconciously, she began to rise on the tips of her toes, her lips slightly puckering and her eyes slowly clo—
"My little boy’s got a date with General Badass!" came a loud whoop from the outside.
A voice shouted back in reply, suspiciously sounding a lot like Meela’s. “WHAT? I wanted the pretty man first! He promised me his hair, now let me at her! I’ll show that general!”
